Additional Information:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to ensure our school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the school and maintaining a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
20 hours a week
7.30 - 11.30 daily
Duties to include
• Care and maintenance of school buildings and grounds
• Ensuring that hazards, including ice and litter are cleared promptly pathways are maintained in a safe condition at all times.
• Ensure bins are ready for collection
• Carrying out minor repairs to fixtures and fittings. Liaising with tradespeople working on site e.g. plumbers, electricians, building contractors where applicable.
• Moving furniture / other resources to and from storage as necessary.
• To fully comply with all School Policies
Essential requirements:
• Garda Vetting and Fitness to Work declaration of successful candidate will be necessary prior to appointment.
This position will be funded by the Department of Education Ancillary Grant scheme.
