Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent infant hours position (0.83 of a full post i.e. 9.30am - 2.10pm).
Applicants must include a copy of PF1 form, where appropriate.
Applicants must satisfy all Department of Education appointment criteria. The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.
Applicants will be required to provide proof of relevant qualifications if called for interview.
Relevant qualifications/ courses e.g. First Aid, ASD, Lámh etc would be highly desirable.
Experience of working with children with Autism, Down Syndrome and children with medical and intimate care needs is desirable. Please highlight your suitability for the post in your letter of application.
The SNA may be rotated at different times to support pupils with Autism, Down Syndrome and other needs throughout the school. The SNA may also be working in our newly established ASD Class.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school, work well as part of a team, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
The successful candidate will need to satisfy DES Vetting and Occupational Health requirements.
