An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Requirements:
• Relevant qualifications and experience.
Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or courses (e.g. First Aid, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, Lamh) would be advantageous.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Experience of working with children with sensory impairments, medical or intimate care needs would be advantageous.

• The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. They must also show a willingness to be involved in school activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and will be expected to avail of further training as required. Initial duties may be subject to change.
• Candidates must be willing to uphold the Sacred Heart ethos of the school.
