An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of St. Manchan’s NS initially advertised this permanent vacancy on Staffroom.ie on the 22nd day of Sept, 2024 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Meath. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 27th day of Sept, 2024. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 8th day of Oct, 2024. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

The fixed term post was approved on projected enrolment grounds with a view to being permanent.

We are looking for an experienced teacher who is fully committed to our values and who can provide a broad and holistic education to children in any class in our school.
We are looking for a passionate, resilient teacher who is a team-player but can also use their own initiative, a teacher who is committed to developing their skills and is adaptable and willing to ensure smooth implementation of children's individual programmes to suit our pupil's needs across the school.
Collaboration is essential in our developing school. Team teaching experience, experience working with SEN pupils, as well as experience of working with the Continuum of Support would also be favourable.

This job will commence on 11th November 2024 and it is a fixed term position until the end of the school year..
