This is an Administrative Principal position.
Scoil Ursula is an Ursuline/Le Chéile, Co-educational, DEIS Band 1 National School with 2 Special classes.
The current staff is comprised of 22 teachers, 11 SNA's, 1 Secretary and a part-time Caretaker.
Our current enrolment is 188 pupils.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:-
An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic Primary school.
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary curriculum.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of DEIS including the ability to foster links with parents and within the wider community.
A commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Proven leadership skills.
A commitment to and evidence of continuing and relevant professional development.
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives.
A high level of understanding and knowledge of special education needs and of diversity in education.
Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer a school.
Experience in prioritising, planning and organising work load.
Previous experience in policy development.
