Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Naomh Eoin has a Half-Day post (0.5) available (16 hours per week). The successful candidate will be involved in supporting children in our mainstream classrooms.
Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education Skills 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars. The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.

Applicants must demonstrate the specific competencies and requirements to meet the special educational and care needs of children.
Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as set out by the DES Circular 0051/2019, though having Fetac Level 5/6 in SEN or other relevant qualifications in areas such as First Aid certification & ICT is desirable.

Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display strong work ethic, demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training, respect the Catholic ethos of the school and willing to work under the direction of the class teachers and school Principal.

Applicants should have experience and relevant qualifications in working with children with a broad range of abilities.
Successful candidates will be expected to complete 36 hours (as per DES Circular 71/2011) throughout the year.

Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and completion of the online Túsla Child Safeguarding training.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the Supplementary Panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application. Any canvassing will disqualify without exception.

The school also wishes to establish a Substitute panel of suitable SNAs to cover staff absences.
