Cuan na Gaillimhe Community National School is under the patronage of Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board since 2019.
Community National Schools (CNS) are publicly-funded, publicly-managed multidenominational schools that welcome all children from the local communities they serve.
There are several other Community National Schools around the country and it is expected the model will grow substantially over the coming years. For more information about the CNS model, visit www.cns.ie
In Cuan na Gaillimhe CNS the full Irish primary school curriculum as directed by DES is delivered in an integrated and developmentally appropriate way with a strong emphasis on movement, music, art, handwork, drama, and outdoor learning as promoted by Steiner Waldorf education.
The successful candidate will be a committed enthusiastic mainstream teacher with experience of teaching in a multi-grade setting.
Candidates must meet DES qualification requirements. Experience and knowledge of Steiner/Waldorf Education would be an added advantage. The school is a multidenominational school.
GRETB now invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Mainstream Class Teacher at Cuan na Gaillimhe Community National School for a fixed term contract with the expected duration from 29th August 2024 to 30th August 2025.
