PMVT Learning Centres incorporate a social-care model and education provision to support the engagement of students who are out of mainstream education for a variety of reasons. Our team of teachers deliver the state Junior Certificate educational curriculum to our students in an alternative environment. This education provision supported by a team of social care workers whose work is underpinned by a trauma informed, strength’s-based approach. Staff are supported with training, supervision and professional development opportunities to support their engagement with a cohort of students who have been hard to reach in an educational environment without the more intensive and directed approach which is offered in PMVT Learning Centres.
