An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of St. Joseph's Ballyadams N.S wishes to invite applications for one Permanent SNA post (0.83 Infant Day).

The successful applicant will be working with pupils with a variety of care needs between our mainstream and special classes as directed by the Principal. The successful candidates are expected to carry out the duties as per Circular 0030/2014.

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, motivated and flexible candidates to join our growing team in Ballyadams N.S. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, work well within a team, respect the ethos of the school and be willing to work in collaboration with all members of staff to maximise each child's potential. To meet the needs of the school the following competencies are desirable- knowledge of and experience of working with children with a wide range of complex care needs and knowledge of and experience working in an Autism Class. Experience of manual handling and AAC device experience & training is desirable as well as a willingness to avail of further training.

Applicants must have the relevant qualifications as per Department of Education requirements.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, current Garda vetting / Child Protection requirements, satisfactory pre-employment medical screening via the OHS and Patron approval.
The successful candidates will be required to participate in induction training and planning in the school prior to the school re-opening in late August.
