An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This advertisement is for three 0.83 positions and one 0.5 position. The positions may be in mainstream classes or in special classes for children with Autism. Initial allocation is subject to change.

St. Finian’s National School is a co-educational rural school in the village of Clonard, Co. Meath. In the year 2024 / 2025 there will be three multigrade mainstream classes and two new special classes for children with Autism.

Experience working with children with autism is highly desirable.
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, motivated and flexible candidates to join our team in this exciting time for our school. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school and be willing to work in collaboration with all members of staff to maximise each child's potential. Evidence of C.P.D. in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing C.P.D. engagement.
