An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Rathbeggan National School is a co-educational primary school with a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of the Archbishop of Meath. Applications are invited from highly dedicated candidates for 2 positions (full day).

Essential requirements:
QQI level 6 for Special Needs Assistants
Experience from working in a mainstream school, special class or special school.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and interest in working in an enthusiastic, dynamic and vibrant, team environment
Demonstrated interest in supporting the educational needs of autistic students with complex needs.

Desirable
Experience of supporting the completion of personal pupil plans and care plans
Good understanding of the role of the SNA
Any additional and relevant continuous professional development undertaken or an identified interest in areas of CPD you would like to undertake in the future
Experience and or training in working with children with A.S.D, O.T., emotional and behavioural difficulties, diabetes and medical care needs is desirable. Experience of the TEACCH and ABC approaches to intervention would be advantageous.
