This post is a fixed term, administrative, Acting Principal position for the 2024/2025 school year.
Candidates are asked to provide a cover letter detailing their experience, skills and qualities and showing their suitability for this post. All application requirements must be attached to your application.
The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Candidates must be fully Registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
Leadership experience is desirable. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a team and to foster leadership in others.
Candidates must hold a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education, be currently in receipt of up to date Garda Vetting clearance and be registered with the Teaching Council. Please include evidence of these in the application.
