Post Advertised
The post advertised is a Special Needs Assistant (SNA) Job-Share position for one year, joining a vibrant team of staff, including 15 SNAs, at Scoil Bhríde, Kilcullen. The vacancy arises from an approved job-share for one SNA for the 2024/2025 school year. The post advertised is for the available hours (50% of the SNA post), on a specified purpose (fixed term) contract. (See Information Note TC/IN 0002/2023, for further information.) The successful candidate will work for 2 days or 3 days each week, on days when their job-share partner is not working. Flexibility to re-arrange days with the job-share partner if/needed is an important attribute of the successful candidate.
 
Scoil Bhríde, Kilcullen
Scoil Bhríde Kilcullen is a Catholic Primary School, originally founded by the Sisters of the Cross and Passion, in 1878. Today, our school is a thriving place of learning with 27 mainstream classes and 3 Special Classes in Sonas. It is located in the centre of Kilcullen, beside 'Cross and Passion College'. Our facilities include a large (double) hall/gym with a new state-of-the-art AV system and two smaller halls. Sonas facilities include an outdoor sensory garden, a ball pool, a multi-sensory room and a large sensory integration room. In addition to three large tarmacadam play areas, outdoor facilities include a large pitch, surrounded by a running track, basketball courts and an outdoor classroom.

Enrolment & Staff
Enrolment on June 26th 2024 is 651 students, representing 468 families. Our Staff Team includes: 15 SNAs, 10 Special Education Teachers (SETs), 3 Special Class Teachers, 27 Mainstream Teachers, one full-time Secretary, one full-time Caretaker, three Bus Escorts for Sonas, four Cleaning Staff and an administrative Principal and Deputy Principal.
