Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a full time SNA post and the successful candidate will have initial duties in a mainstream classroom.
Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as per Department of Education and Skills Guidelines.
Experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs including pupils with MGLD, ADHD, Autism, Behaviours of concern and medical care needs is desirable.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and be able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team capacity. The successful candidate will also be required to participate in in-school training and planning outside of school hours.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the confidentiality of the pupils and school matters at all times and to respect and uphold the school's Catholic ethos.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, occupational health screening and completion of Children First online training and satisfactory references.
Applicants who are deemed to be a member of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
