An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Ogonnelloe N.S. invites applications for a one-year Fixed Term Position to fulfil a position created by Secondment Leave. The post is a mainstream position but may be subject to change at the determination of the principal.
The following skills, knowledge, experience, and competencies are desirable.
• Probation completed
• Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school.
• The ability to be a team player who is willing to work collaboratively and contribute to the overall development of the school.
• A comprehension of, and the ability to support, the embedding of digital technologies in teaching, learning and assessment.
• Experience in the following areas
Literacy Lift-Off, Guided Reading, Standardised Testing, STEM, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
All applicants must have a Certificate to teach Religious Education, be registered with the Teaching Council and be subject to current vetting requirements.
Candidates called to interview will be required to bring proof of qualifications on the day of interview.
