An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Boston N.S. is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education. Boston N.S. is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of the school.
The successful applicant will teach in a multi-grade setting in the junior half of the school. The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
• Probation
• Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
• Aistear
• Literacy Lift-Off
• Guided Reading
• Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Interests/skills/experience in PE, Sport and/or music are advantageous.
Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates. Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, Teaching Council registration and teaching practice grades. Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
