An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 14th day of June, 2024 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Clogher. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 19th day of June, 2024.
The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 22nd day of June, 2024.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

All Saints' NS (Doohamlet NS) currently has 6 mainstream classrooms for JI - 6th Class pupils and 2 x classes for children with autism and complex needs. There is also 1 x full time SET position and 1 x shared SET position.
As this is a permanent post, an eagerness/ willingness to work in all positions listed above is very desirable as teacher allocation is subject to change each year.

This permanent vacancy is for a Special Class Teacher for pupils with ASD and Complex Needs initially. Experience of behaviours of concern strategies is essential, a relevant qualification/ professional development in this area would be desirable. The successful candidate must be able to manage a class of pupils with the aforementioned learning needs and also have experience with non-verbal communication strategies; toileting and physical behaviours. These skills are essential to the role. A sound knowledge of positive behaviour reinforcement; choice boards and schedules is required. Experience and/ or professional development in Teacch/ PECS/ Lámh or other communication strategies would be an advantage. Ability to work effectively with the class team and support staff is essential.

Interests, skills and experience in sports and/or drama is very desirable. Willingness to run extra-curricular clubs is also advantageous.
Applicants for this post must have a Certificate to teach Religious Education. Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
There must be a minimum of two applicants for interviews to take place.
