Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
There are two SNA positions available at Rahealty NS
1; Full-Time permanent SNA post
2; Part-Time permanent SNA post (0.83, Infant Day)
Rahealty NS is looking for people who can be flexible, work as part of a team, and be responsive to the needs of the pupils and the school.
Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic and flexible.
All members of the school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD.
Previous experience in working with children with ASD or complex needs is desirable.
Any additional qualifications in special needs/ First Aid/ Manual handling/ Positive Behaviour/Support strategies/PECS etc would be of benefit also.
The initial duties may change according to the care needs of the pupils. The appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and completion of Children First online training.
Please note that in Rahealty NS our SNA team returns to school earlier than the pupils to prepare resources, engage in CPD and participate in early planning for the pupils whom they support. These return dates will be confirmed with the successful candidates.
Please include PF1 form if applicable.
Applicants must satisfy all DES appointment criteria.
