An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Appointment is subject to the sanction of The Minister, NCSE and the Patron. Confirmation of qualifications, satisfactory references and compliance with Garda Vetting, completion of a Statutory Declaration and Pre-Employment Occupational Health Screening will be required before any appointment is confirmed.
This post requires experience working in special classes with children with Autism including duties of assisting with toileting and general hygiene: (including catheterisation) where a child with special needs cannot independently self-toilet, and until such time as they are able to do so as set out in Circular 30/2014. The successful candidate will be required to carry out primary care needs as set out in Circular 30/14.
