An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is for a special class initially but the nature of the position may change due to the needs of the school and may be in a support teaching position, or a mainstream class.
There are also mainstream positions and fixed term positions. It is not necessary to make a separate application, but you may specify which posts you are applying for in your letter of application.
Qualifications and experience teaching in a special class for children with autism, moderate general learning difficulties and pre-verbal communication skills are desirable. Training in, or experience of using TEACCH would be advantageous. The appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Medical screening.
Only those applications received on or before 2 pm on the 5th of July 2024 will be considered for shortlisting.
Only those applicants shortlisted for interview will be contacted further.
Interviews will be held in Scoil Mhuire Senior on the 11/12th of July 2024.
