An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The post is a fixed term job-share post - 12.5hours. This is a shared post, part of a cluster. Applicants must have access to travel.
Burgess N.S. is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education.
Burgess N.S. is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of Burgess N.S.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
• Probation
• Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
• Third Level postgraduate qualification or evidence of ongoing CPD in Special Education would be advantageous. Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
• Aistear, Literacy Lift-Off, IEPs, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Running Records, IT for SEN, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Interests/skills/experience in PE/Sport are advantageous.

Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates.

Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
