An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Triest is a special school for students aged 12-18 years who have a diagnosis of ASD and intellectual disability in the moderate/mild range.
There are currently 12 Class teachers and 38 Special Needs Assistants on staff.
Criteria for this position are:
Relevant qualifications (QQ1/ FECTAC/ LEVEL 7/LEVEL 8 ) and experience in working with students with ASD, I.D. are essential .Experience of working in a Special school /Special class is essential.
Additional relevant courses(e.g. First Aid, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, MAPA, Lamh etc) would be highly desirable.
A panel will be created from interviews to fill fixed term and other substitute positions expected to arise this year.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary panel with supplementary panel rights , must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel form PF1 with their application.
