Community Training Centre Pre Apprenticeship Instructor – Limerick

Community Training Centres provide education and training for early school leavers aged 16-21 in an out of school setting. The instructor will be responsible for the development, implementation and review of the pre apprenticeship course, training young people to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue further training or employment in a trade or in the construction industry.

The successful candidate will have:
• A recognised (relevant) 3rd Level qualification. An understanding of/experience of delivery of QQI Modules Level 3 & 4
• Minimum of two years experience working with Learners/Young People in the area of pre apprenticeship skills
• A learner centred approach
• Ability to work effectively with CTC staff, learners, external partners, employers and others as appropriate to support learner progression.
• Ability to provide guidance and deliver flexible options to new and emerging learners;
• Knowledge and or experience Proven record of linking with Employers and Further Education providers.
• Excellent communication, teamwork skills and IT Skills
• Knowledge of the key state agencies who work with early school leavers.
