An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for 3 positions. These are to cover 1 full time fixed term position and 2 part time (16 hours per week) fixed term positions in our special school. We provide education to children between the ages of five and eighteen who have been assessed as having general learning disabilities in either the moderate or severe range. Some of our children have additional needs such as autism or physical disabilities. A small number may display behaviours.

Experience of working across the range of special educational needs as described, including children with autism and behaviours that challenge. Additional training (MAPA, PMH) is beneficial but not essential.
