An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Stewarts School, Stewarts School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound general learning disabilities and complex SEN between the ages of four and eighteen years. Candidates are required to have the Junior Certificate or equivalent.

The bus escort will accompany pupils on bus transport from their homes to and from the school daily. A knowledge and understanding of children with SEN is desirable. The successful candidate will be Garda Vetted. The escort will be responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seat-belts and wheelchair straps.
Hours of work approximately 15-20 hours per week (Mon-Fri) commencing September 2018. Initial appointment will be for bus route operating in the Lucan/Celbridge/Clondalkin area and travelling to and from Stewarts School in the mornings and afternoons

Desirable Experience:
• Working with pupils with special needs.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
