General - How do I enable or disable Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-Factor Authentication adds an additional layer of security to your account by requiring more than just a password to log in. We recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication on your account.

Two-Factor Authentication requires a security code be sent to your phone number or email address. You must enter the relevant password and the security code when logging into your account.

If you choose a Trusted Device, the security code step may be skipped during login, so only a password is required.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Login to your EducationPosts.ie account
  2. Select your account name > My Account
  3. Under Two-Factor Authentication > select Enable 2FA
  4. Enter the relevant password in the dialog box > select Continue
  5. Select Enable 2FA on the next dialog box
  6. You will receive an email confirming the security changes on your account
  7. On the next login, you will be prompted to send a code to your email address / phone number
  8. Enter the code in the relevant box, select Continue
  9. Choose whether to set the device as a Trusted Device on your account. Trusting a device skips extra security checks during login, usually only needing your password
