General - How do I enable or disable Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication adds an additional layer of security to your account by requiring more than just a password to log in. We recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication on your account.
Two-Factor Authentication requires a security code be sent to your phone number or email address. You must enter the relevant password and the security code when logging into your account.
If you choose a Trusted Device, the security code step may be skipped during login, so only a password is required.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Login to your EducationPosts.ie account
- Select your account name > My Account
- Under Two-Factor Authentication > select Enable 2FA
- Enter the relevant password in the dialog box > select Continue
- Select Enable 2FA on the next dialog box
- You will receive an email confirming the security changes on your account
- On the next login, you will be prompted to send a code to your email address / phone number
- Enter the code in the relevant box, select Continue
- Choose whether to set the device as a Trusted Device on your account. Trusting a device skips extra security checks during login, usually only needing your password
