An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is a class teacher in a Special Class for children with Autism and Complex Needs in a recently established Special Class in our school, from November 2nd to June 2027.
The following experience and qualifications are highly desirable:
• Experience of teaching children in a Special Class setting
• Knowledge and experience of Autism, ADHD, PDA and Behaviours of Concern
• Probation
• Interest and experience in the integration of children into mainstream classes
In order to be eligible for appointment, candidates must hold a recognised qualification in Primary Education, satisfactory references, a certificate to teach Religion, Garda Vetting, Teaching Council registration and Occupational Health screening.
Candidates must be flexible, a good communicator and skilled in working as part of a team.
