St. Hilda's is a special school: we educate students with moderate, severe and profound general learning disabilities and complex SEN between the ages of four and eighteen years.
Experience of working in a similar special school setting will be considered advantageous. The desired applicant will have experience working as part of a team within a classroom and be able to demonstrate initiative in helping students with special needs access the curriculum. PECS, Manual Handling, LÁMH, positive behaviour strategies, Level 6 SNA qualification are desirable. Additional qualification in special education, including autism or a related area is advantageous.
The school is recruiting to fill three permanent positions and two fixed term part time positions. Duties are as outlined by Department of Education Circulars and include supporting students presenting with behaviours of concern.
