The Board of Management of Galbally N.S. a rural, co-educational school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Cashel & Emly, invites applications for the position of Teaching Principal, commencing on Monday the 9th of November 2026.
Galbally N.S. is a vibrant and inclusive school committed to providing a high-
quality, holistic education for all pupils. The Principal will lead a dedicated and
collaborative staff and will work closely with the Board of Management, parents and the wider school community to ensure the continued development and success of the school.
The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification to teach
Religious Education in a Catholic primary school, as well as a commitment to
lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate:
A clear and ambitious vision for high-quality teaching and learning and a strong commitment to inclusive and child-centred education.
Proven Leadership and Management within a school setting.
A willingness to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all
members of the school community.
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a range of teaching
experience including multi-class settings.
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and ability to lead
curriculum change.
Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload.
An in-depth knowledge and experience of S.E.N.
The ability to foster the involvement of parents within the school community.
