The Bus Escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons.
Hours of work Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 9am and 2:30 - 3:45PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accompanying and ensuring the safety of the students during transit to and from the school.
* Secure seat belts and other safety equipment.
* Assisting the students on and off the the transport vehicle safely.
* Cooperating with the driver and communicating effectively with school management and parents.
* Maintaining a calm, supportive and safe environment during the journey.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience working with children, particularly children with additional educational needs.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
* Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, mandatory Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening.
Salary:
* Payment is at the standard hourly rate set by the Department of Education.
