An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Catherine McAuley Special School caters for students with Mild General Learning Disabilities at primary and post primary levels including classes for pupils with ASD. Experience in a special education setting is very helpful. Knowledge and experience of coping with behavioural difficulties and intimate care needs is desirable as is experience of working with pupils with ASD.
