An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The ideal candidate will have experience working within Special Classes with children with Autism and other additional needs, including Intellectual Difficulty. It is essential to have a calm temperament, plenty of initiative and to work closely as part of a team. Staff here have training in Relate (as per NCSE guidance 2026) and are offered training in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) annually.
