St Mary's NS is DEIS Plus School with a current enrolment of 155 pupils. It consists of 19 teachers and 9 SNAs. It has two Autism Classes and prides itself on inclusivity and community involvement.
St Mary's NS now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Permanent Principal at St Mary's NS. The successful candidate must meet the eligibility criteria and be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council.
Roles and Responsibilites:
The roles and Responsibilities for this position relate to the 4 domains of Leadership and Management as specified in Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The Principal has overall responsibility under the authority of the Board of Management for the day to day management of the school as provided for in legislation/circulars/Deeds of Trust and other relevant communications.
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment. Appointment will be subject to current Vetting requirements, References and Occupational Health Screening
