Additional Information:
We require bus escorts to accompany and support pupils to and from school each day. These positions will require availability to work five days per week in accordance with the school calendar.
1. The escort must be available between 7.55 am - 9.10 am in the mornings and between 2.45 pm and 4.00 pm in the afternoons (These are approximate times and are subject to change).
2. New route: The escort must be available between 7.25 am - 9.10 am in the mornings and between 2.45 pm and 4.30 pm in the afternoons (These are approximate times and are subject to change).
The school is the meeting point with the bus contractor and escorts must have their own transport to and from the school.
The hourly rate of pay is €15.98 per hour, in line with the DEY guidelines for school bus escorts.
Duties will include:
* Escorting the pupils safely to and from school.
* Liaising with school staff and parents/guardians when necessary.
* Assisting the pupils to board and alight from transport safely and ensuring that the pupils are received by the responsible adult at each set down point.
* Ensuring the pupils are seated and wearing a safety belt for the duration of the journey.
Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements and verification of references. Commencement date is dependent on the completion of Garda Vetting. The successful candidate will also be required to complete the relevant Children First Online Training.
