The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school. The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable but not required. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Salary is €15.82 per hour only during term time. Escorts are not paid during holidays but receive holiday pay instead.
