An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is a fixed term post for the 2026/2027 school year.

Highly desirable requirements include
- probation fully completed
- knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours in an ASD class
- experience of providing in school Summer Providsion Programme
- an interest in persuing professional development in the area of autism studies
