Position Available: School Cleaner
Hours: 10 hours per week (2 hours per day)
Times: 07:00 – 9:00 daily.
Salary €14.15 per hour.
Start date: 1st September 2026
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning: Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and wet-mopping floors in assigned classrooms, offices, and assembly areas.
Sanitising: Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting washrooms, toilets, and high-touch surfaces (door handles, rails).
Waste Management: Emptying bins, collecting rubbish, and disposing of waste in designated external areas.
Safety: Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns directly to the Principal or Caretaker.
Requirements
Have previous cleaning experience
Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards
Be reliable and punctual
Be physically capable of completing cleaning duties, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods
Be able to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, Garda Vetting and safeguarding checks
