St. Michael’s House Special School Foxfield are seeking to appoint 4 bus escorts for our Swords location and 2 bus escorts for our Kilbarrack location, commencing on 25 August. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable but not required. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting.
Salary is €15.82 per hour processed fortnightly and only during term time. Escorts are not paid during holidays but receive holiday pay instead. The hours are split between morning and evening.
