An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

We are a special school setting catering for children with a moderate intellectual disability
currently age 7 to 18. In addition, our pupils/students may also have autism and/or Down
Syndrome and additional needs. We have 5 classes in total with one Exceptional Teacher post.
We have 20 SNAs in total.

This is a Fixed-Term position for the 2026-2027 school year. These two positions have been created so that when we transition into our new school, early 2027, two new classrooms can open.

Knowledge and experience of TEAACH and LAMH would be beneficial to these positions. Successful candidates will work with exisiting class teachers (Primary 1 and Primary 2). The classes are supported by a team of highly skilled SNAs. Experience working in a special school setting is desired and essential.

Any additional training for behaviours of concern is key to supporting the students in their class
setting.

Successful candidates will be notified and called for interview on August 18th from 9:30am.

Successful candidates must be available for two days staff training August 24th and 25th. School begins August 26th.
