An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Applications accepted by EMAIL only and only those shortlisted for interview will be contacted. Interviews are expected to take place the week of Monday 24th August 2026.

The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons five days per week.
We seek two additional bus escorts for the following:
Position 1 -approximately 3 hours per day- (7:30am / 7:45am start, and collection of pupils at 1.40pm and 2.40pm from school.)
Position 2- approximately 1.5 hours per day (8am start and collection of pupils at 1.40pm)
*Please note final contract hours will be confirmed when bus routes are confirmed. Times may vary slightly based on traffic and confirmed route.
• The bus escort will:
-accompany pupils on school bus transport to and from their home to Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa each day.
- work mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday, term time only.
-ensure pupil safety and wellbeing while on board including:
- assist children getting on and off bus and ensure a safe handover to SNA/teacher/parent/guardian
- secure seat belts and any other safety equipment
- support care needs as required
• The hourly rate of pay €15.98 per hour and is in line with the Department of Education and Youth guidelines for school bus escorts.

- Garda Vetting for the Diocese of Meath required.
• The successful candidate will require good communication skills as they will be working with children and liaising with school staff, the bus driver and parents/guardians.
• Experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable.
