This specified purpose, substitute post, is a mainstream teaching position in 3rd & 4th class for the 2026/2027 school year, covering two teachers using parental leave to job share. Applications accepted til 4pm on the 6/8/2026.

Castlegar NS is a co-educational, Catholic primary school under the Patronage of Bishop Duignan, Bishop of Clonfert, Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora, with classes from Junior Infants to Sixth class and one special class.

Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
