Teaching & Learning Facilitator at Nurture (Contractor Role)
Description:
Join Nurture as we scale high-quality, in-person Teaching & Learning training across schools in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a part-time contractor role with the potential for further collaboration throughout the academic year — ideal for a flexible, experienced educator looking to make an impact beyond the classroom.
Engagement: Part-time, fixed-term contractor (commencing beginning of August)
Location: Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland (in-person delivery across Nurture schools, with travel)
Reports to: Head of Delivery and CEO, David Neville
Works alongside: Emer Cunningham, Teaching, Learning & Research Lead
Remuneration: Competitive (DOE)
About Nurture:
Nurture is a formative assessment and feedback solution, built natively for Microsoft Teams. We work alongside our strategic advisor Professor Dylan Wiliam, the world's leading authority on formative assessment, to help teachers deliver effective formative assessment and feedback.
Purpose of the role:
To support our Teaching and Learning team in delivering high-quality, in-person T&L training across Nurture schools in Ireland and Northern Ireland, ensuring teachers and leaders confidently embed formative assessment practice.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver in-person T&L training sessions across Nurture partner schools in ROI and NI (primary focus)
Support onboarding and "train the trainer" delivery to scale impact across school systems
Apply formative assessment pedagogy, grounded in Dylan Wiliam's five key strategies
Ensure sessions align with school, organisation, and national policy contexts
Support resource delivery (handbooks, guides, session materials) and feed classroom insight back to the team
Collaborate with Delivery, Sales, and Product as needed
Essential requirements:
Qualified secondary school teacher
Demonstrable specialisation/strong experience in EdTech
Proven teaching & learning expertise
Solid grounding in formative assessment (Dylan Wiliam's five strategies) — a hard requirement
Confident, credible in-person facilitator with teachers and school leaders
Full driving licence and willingness to travel across ROI and NI
Desirable:
Experience delivering CPD/professional learning to teachers
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams in a school setting
Experience working across both ROI and NI education systems
