Deputy Principal Release Day Teacher
The Board of Management of Finglas Parochial National School invites applications for the position of Deputy Principal Release Day Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year.
This shared position is based across five primary schools in the Finglas area, with one day per week spent in each school. The successful candidate will assume the teaching responsibilities of the Deputy Principal on their allocated release day each week.
This is an exciting and varied role that offers the opportunity to work across a range of school settings, collaborate with experienced leadership teams, and gain valuable professional experience. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive network of schools committed to high-quality teaching, learning and inclusive practice.
We are seeking a teacher who:
* Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to embrace a varied teaching role.
* Is confident teaching across all class levels in a primary school setting.
* Is willing and able to work in both mainstream and Special Education Teacher (SET) settings, as required.
* Has excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
* Can build positive relationships quickly with pupils, staff and the wider school community.
* Works effectively as part of collaborative and supportive school teams.
* Is committed to high-quality, inclusive and child-centred teaching and learning.
As the role involves travel between schools during the week, access to reliable transport is desirable.
This position would particularly suit an enthusiastic, adaptable teacher who enjoys variety, values collaboration and is keen to broaden their experience across a range of school communities.
