An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

We are currently seeking Bus Escorts for the 2026–2027 school year.

Role Description

Accompany pupils on transport to and from their homes and Scoil Bhríde NS each day.

Work mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Ensure pupil safety and wellbeing while on board, including:

Assisting children getting on and off the bus/taxi

Securing seat belts and other safety equipment

Supporting care needs as required

Complete relevant training for any medical needs.

Requirements

Relevant experience working with children is highly desirable.

Garda vetting and suitable references are essential.

Additional Information

Further vacancies may arise, so applications from outside the immediate area are also welcome for inclusion in a future panel of escorts.

We are also establishing a panel of substitute escorts to cover ad hoc absences.
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment.
