An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Balbriggan ETNS welcomes applications for two SNA positions. We are seeking two dedicated, caring and enthusiastic Special Needs Assistants to join our inclusive school community.
Post 1: 0.83 SNA. School hours will be 8:25 - 13:30 daily.
Post 2: 0.49 SNA. School hours will be 8:50 - 12:00 daily.
Successful candidates should :
1. hold a level 5 or level 6 Special Needs Assisitant qualification.
2. demonstrate an excellent understanding of the role of the SNA and how best to address specific care needs of the children in their care while upholding professional standards, confidentiality and best practice at all times.
3. have an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible attitude to their work with a willingness to work well within a team and use their own initiative.
4. have experience of working with autistic and neurodivergent children, children with communication difficultites and children with social, emotional and behavioural needs within a school setting.
5. show a commitment to ensuring the dignity and inclusion of all pupils in our school community.
All staff are expected to engage in ongoing Continuous Professional Development and to uphold the ethos of our school.
