An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Aughacasla NS is seeking 2 Professional Teacher who are team players and who are willing to contribute to the overall development of the school, both curricular and extra-curricular. One position is for a fixed term contract for the whole school year the other is to cover a maternity leave both positions begin on the 26th of August 2026.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable.
• Ideally fully probated with full Teaching Council registration.
• Experience in teaching First and Second Class
• Evidence of ongoing CPD
• Experience of leading initiatives
• Experience in Multi-grade classes
Excellent classroom management skills, planning skills and flexibility are essential skills for this position.
Applicants must have a recognised Certificate to teach Religious Education.
Appointment will be subject to but not limited to:
• Satisfactory references
• Teaching Council Registration
• Garda Vetting
• Occupational Health Screening
