An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applicants should have experience as an SNA supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, and social, emotional and behavioural needs., under the direction of the class teacher and principal, in line with Circular 0032/2026. Experience in ASD special classes and assisting with toileting and general hygiene is desirable. Candidates should be flexible, work well in a team, support student independence and wellbeing, and be willing to engage in in‑school training and planning outside normal classroom hours as provided for in School Community Time and Learning and Development requirements. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, Garda Vetting, Túsla Children First certification, pre‑employment medical screening, Patron/Board approval and, where applicable, a certified PF1 form
