The Board of Management of Ballymacarbry National School invites applications for a fixed-term teaching position for the duration of the 2026/27 school year.
This is a mainstream class position, with initial duties as a 4th/ 5th Class Teacher, subject to the discretion of the Principal.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A willingness to contribute to the overall development and extracurricular life of the school.
The following experience, interests and skills will be advantageous:
• Experience teaching senior classes.
• Experience teaching children with a range of additional educational needs.
• Interests, skills or experience in sport.
• Interests, skills or experience in music.
• A grá for the Irish language and the teaching of it.
Appointment will be subject to:
• Current Teaching Council registration.
• Satisfactory references.
• Compliance with current Garda Vetting requirements.
• Occupational health screening, where applicable.
• Compliance with Child Protection Procedures and Department of Education requirements.
• Recognised Certificate to teach Religious Education.
