Libermann Spiritan School caters for students aged 4-18 years with a diagnosis of ASD and complex needs.

We have 2 fixed term positions, commencing 27th August. One position will run until June 30th. The second position is a maternity leave which will most likely also be for a calendar year but initially for 26 weeks.

We are looking a teacher who are inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to the school team.

Experience working with autistic children in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience in supporting autistic pupils, demonstrate the ability to work within and lead a class team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing behaviours of concern.

We are looking for a special class teacher who has a willingness to learn and an interest in educating pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and complex special needs.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of pupils and the school which will be provided on site.

Appointment will be subject to garda vetting, occupational health checks and reference checks.
